The Mountain Jubilee Show is a grassroots, volunteer-run, program that aims to celebrate and enrich the community of traditional and contemporary independent String Band musicians.
The Mountain Jubilee stage consists of brilliant but unknown musicians who welcome the recording and broadcasting of their musical work and interviews on radio. Musicians and fans of live Bluegrass, Old-Time, Old-Country, Folk, Mountain Blues, Mountain Gospel & Celtic music have been integral to the creation of the Mountain Jubilee Show.
The Mountain Jubilee Show set out to capture and preserve the essence of the local/regional ongoing, independent, acoustic Roots musical heritage. The Mountain Jubilee sound stage is a grass-roots showcase of unknown, gifted, musicians who make their living on a scale much smaller than that of bands filling stadiums.
The Mountain Jubilee Show is produced in an Island region in the Great Pacific Northwest - where CANADIANA music traditions have taken on a life of their own!
